Insights and Feedback
🪟GlassBuild, America Sep 30 - Oct, Dallas, Texas
We had a great show, learning more about the measurement challenges people face in the Glass industry and sharing our knowledge to help solve them.
- People told us they were at the show to discover how digital tools could improve their measurement process.
- People learned with Flexijet you’re not just walking away with a digital file, you leave the job site with a digital file that informs your install.
- People were impressed to learn how with Flexijet you can take hardware locations and project layouts directly from CAD and project them back into reality, either during the initial measurement trip or later during the actual install.
GlassBuild, Dallas, TX: 30 Sept - 02 Oct 2024
We caught-up with a lot of people and customers at GlassBuild, we've shared our team insights above. Here's some customer feedback from Rick Jeske who kindly went on camera to talk about the impact of Flexijet to Jeske Glass. Thanks for stopping by our booth, for your time in talking to us Rick and for sharing your valuable insights, very much appreciated.
Q: When you added the Flexijet to your shop, what kind of impact did you see when it came to your install process?
A: "One thing we've started and got into a habit of when we're out on site and we're measuring with the Flexijet, we've started to put down tape and leave corners marked out for the guys. So, when they go back out for the finished product to install glass, they don't have to guess, they don't have to hand fit. They know center lines and things ahead of time. So it's so much faster, They don't sit and guess. We've got center points marked out where miters come together. We'll even put a piece of blue tape on the ceiling. We can have Flexijet judge and show us where that point is and it speeds them up."
Q: When you add Flexijet to your shop, tell me about that process a little bit.
A: "Well, you ever been watching a movie and they've got Easter eggs hidden right in the movies that are kind of like fun things for people to find? So, to me, little details like that are unnecessary are like Easter eggs that as a glass Craftsman, those are like Easter eggs that we hide into our jobs because we can. The finished product, gives us, like the clients are saying "we don't know why this look so good, but it looks amazing". So, we just geeked out because we could and we've got four sections of railing glass and we've got a perfect one inch gap through all four sections of glass that you can stand back against the wall and you can see bare wall through two pieces that go up to the first landing, the piece that goes to the upstairs landing, and the piece that goes down to the bottom basement landing. There's a one-inch gap that's perfectly lined up. Who else would do that? We can! That's why we do it."
Insights and Feedback
🪵 IWF 2024, International Woodworking Fair Atlanta, Georgia USA: August 6 – 9
3 takeaways after numerous conversations and demonstrations with craftsmen in the woodworking industry.
- It’s hard to find good people – we hear from shops that are looking to reduce their manpower requirements.
- Streamlining processes – ships are looking for better way top streamline the flow of information between different teams and parts of the operation.
- Is a little bit more specific: for shops that do multiple parts of the same project, they’re looking for way to optimize and integrate those parts together.
The Flexijet team had some great conversations at IWF about how leveraging digital technology like the Flexijet can help with all three of these challenges.
Coverings 2024, Atlanta, GA: April 22-25
What a great show we met with a lot of people in the industry new, familiar and old faces too! We caught-up with a few clients who kindly went on camera to share how they feel, and what they like, about Flexijet. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback Adam, Chris and Ferk very much appreciated.
“I feel like anything is possible, what used to take me 3 days of drafting time took me 2 or 3 hours. The Flexi team was there to help me through the process. The Flexi is an amazing scanning device, and it gives you so much information but it’s the editing software that is truly valuable and unique. I could design a 3D wrap, again it used to take me 3 days it took me 3 hours it tells me how out of bow the walls are, tells me the high points and I can draw my countertop lines and compensate for those things. The machine makes it so easy to do so. I am really blown away by it. We just wrapped up our first big job, we got another crazy vertical coming up and we’re already really happy with it. And lastly the service. To be able to call someone, to have an experienced measure, teacher, or drafter on the other end guiding you through the software to allow you to complete the project – the service aspect, is truly unique no one else is offering that service as well. So really, really happy.”
